Assessment and Exercise Course
(DTS-AE)

The goal of this 2-day course is to educate personal trainers on how to assess a client, design a program and how to cue and coach clients in an effective manner.  This course teaches personal trainers a systematic approach that is efficient and effective in engaging and retaining clients.

Trainers taking this course will learn how to identify movement imbalances, how to prioritize training to address these imbalances, how to coach exercise form to improve movement, how to increase scapular and spinal stabilization through cueing and how to design a body composition program design.  The course will give trainers the tools that they need to design EFFECTIVE training programs for their clients.   Remember ASSESSMENT DRIVES PROGRAMMING - a good assessment is the foundation of a good program.

The course breakdown is 20% theory and 80% practical hands-on coaching, cueing, exercising and assessing.  All participants will be required to conduct several assessments, demonstrate proper exercise form, demonstrate proper cueing/coaching and write a program based on their own assessment results.

Prerequisite Requirement
